Message :Unplugging the solenoids makes no difference in noise, but grounding them makes it pretty much go away.

this means your intake cam sprockets need to be replaced

:I've tried replacing both VTC Springs, and the noise was subdued but still there.
VTC springs don't make much difference, if any
:Took it to a master tech, he found out the intake cam gears were fine, but the driver side solenoid doesn't work (piston doesn't extend outwards).
the master tech is incorrect on the intake cam sprockets
:So my thinking now is replacing the solenoid will remedy the noise, however he is saying replacing the solenoid will require pulling the motor and it'll be expensive.
Replacing the solenoid will not fix the noise. No engine pull required to replace. Just need to pull the intake and valve cover to replace it.
:From what I've researched, nobody has had to pull the motor, at the most just the plenum.
:Is there a way to replace the driver's side solenoid without pulling the motor?
yep
:Sorry if this has been asked before, difficult to find information on this.
